Did you know that Valentines Day originated in Gujarat. it's because the ladies there used to beat their 'gujju' husbands up with velans - yes the one u make chappatis with.
so everytime these ladies got mad with their husbands they used to shout 'velan time'.
but the british heard it wrongly and renamed it 'Valentine' on the 14th Feb, because they thought it was quite an amusing ritual by gujju women. !!!
